ENVIROMENT
Roncegno
lies amongst the greenery at the foot of the Fravort mountain. Together with Levico and Vetriolo it is an important spa where already in the 19th century some members of the Hapsburg family came to undergo mineral water therapies. A great park of 50 hectares sorrounds the baths. Besides the arsenical-ferruginous waters our guests’ health can benefit by the natural enviroment and the microclimate generated by the Garda lake. Natural and homeopathic methodologies are also applied at the spa. But Roncegno does not mean just thermal baths. Its history dates back to ancient times as Tor Quadra and Tor Tonda testify. These are the ruins of fortified constructions situated on an old communication route, which created a complexe system connected also with Castel Tesobbo and Castel Montebello (both almost completely destroyed now). Thanks to its geographical position Roncegno is an ideal starting point to go hiking and walking in the mountains to Cinque Valli-, Serot- and Pozze huts. Festivals and events are organized for those who prefer to remain in town; one of these is the Chestnut Festival, which takes place every year in autumn.

The golf course
is situated in the Sports Centre of Via Ferme, which also provides bar facilities, a meeting room, locker rooms and toilets for both the Tennis- and the Golf Club. The centre has a regular football ground and a training one, eight green-set tennis courts and the golf course.The golf course provides a practice range with 9 stations (4 covered), a putting green and a 3-hole course (the length of the holes is respectively 160, 90 and 130 m.). It lies south of the town, in an ideal place to admire the mountain with the "masi" (characteristic old houses) and the Fravort peak. The golf course is little but it lets everyone approach this fascinating sport and have a good grounding to play it afterwards in any other place: in fact the Roncegno Golf Club is a member of the Italian Golf Federation.The owner of the centre is the municipality, which kindly put it at the sports associations’ disposal (among these associations there is also the Roncegno Golf Club).
The Sports Centre
The Roncegno Sports Centre is a modern and complete facility, which can satisfy even the most particular sportsmen. It lies in a green hollow situated near a wonderful biotope, a few minutes from the town. It provides seven tennis courts, a multipurpose-, two football- and a five-a-side field and a golf course. It also offers bar facilities, bathrooms (for both spectators and athletes), locker rooms, infirmary, a wide meeting room and offices for the local sports associations. In Roncegno there are also an earthen- and two tartan tennis courts, a gymnasium, two bowls-lanes and two outdoor swimming pools. The hotels Semiramis and Casa di Salute Raphael provide each an indoor swimming pool. During the summer the Sports Center hosts a junior tennis school, a football school and many sports societies’ training camps.

Tourism, Sport and Nature
Thanks to the orographical conformation of its sorroundings Roncegno is a destination coveted by those who love hang-gliding and parapenting. The uncontaminated territories situated high in the mountains are at the gates of the Lagorai mountain range, which is a natural oasis rich in meadows, pastures and woods. Many paths allow relaxant excursions on foot or on mountain bike, trekking and horse-riding. Several itineraries for those who love ski-mountaineering or excursions with snowshoes start at Pozze and Cinquevalli. Not far from Roncegno the lakes of Levico and Caldonazzo offer several possibilities to play water-sports and for those who love biking there is an easy cicle-track along the Brenta river. Many opportunities to go shopping are offered by the neighbouring city of Borgo.
